Missions

Supporting various missions ministries at First Baptist is a priority in the goal to share with the world the gospel of Christ. FBC missions support starts right here in Glenwood with AWANA and continues to the state, throughout the country, and internationally. Here is an overview of the missions that we actively support. If you have any questions about these ministries or would like to learn how you can support these and other ministires, please contact us.

We support Kevin and Natasha Land at Nett Lake, pastoring at the Nett Lake Baptist Church on the Nett Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota.

Cathy Wenz has shared her life and her love of Jesus Christ through teaching, mentoring, leading and serving at the Santisuk English School in Bangkok, Tahiland for the last nine years.

Marv and Marie Bjorklund have been serving in South Africa since 2002 and First Baptist began supporting them in 2008. They have a heart for the people and do tremendous work there. Marv and Marie work with Place of Hope Africa (POHA) and their mission is to provide a facility with care givers (a place of safety) that provides shelter to abandoned, abused, and neglected children.

In summary, we support several missionary families and 2 organizations in a larger sense. We ARE the missionaries in our local church with our AWANA program. We also send support money to our denomination, both the Minnesota Baptist Conference, and the larger Converge Worldwide.
