Psalm 18:16-19

Psalm 18:16-19 Then the channels of the sea were seen,The foundations of the world were uncoveredAt Your rebuke, O Lord,At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils. 16 He sent from above, He took me;He drew me out of many waters.17 He delivered me from my strong enemy,From those who hated me,For they were too strong for me.18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity,But the Lord was my support.19 He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me

This is a psalm of King David as he has just been rescued by the Lord from the hands of his enemies. David knew where his rescue came from and is in worship of God. God power, mercy, and grace all played a part in the rescue of David as we saw the display of God’s power in the verses right before this passage. We are told throughout Scripture that in Jesus Christ God is well pleased. Matthew 3:17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” God also in looking at us as His children through Jesus Christ is well pleased. For God sees us as sinless because His Son Jesus took our sins upon Himself at the Cross. Pastor Tom
