Deuteronomy 30:19-20

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

Life is a choice. Moses is charging Israel to choose the Lord, and to hold fast to Him. In verse 20 Moses says, “For the Lord IS your life”. Today, we must realize that our faith,  our world, our livelihood, and the very breath we breathe is all from the Lord. The Lord is everything and all of our life is His as a child of His. He’s not just your healer, provider, shield, strength, savior, etc. (though He is these things). He is your very life. We breathe because of grace, and experience life thanks to Christ. We must stand in His presence in humility and praise as all we have or will ever have is given to us by God. How can we not serve Him Pastor Tom
